Ask any carpet cleaner what equipment they use and most will say “truck-mounted, professional-grade” and leave it there. That doesn’t tell you much. Here’s what we actually run, and more importantly, why the equipment choice changes the result on your floor.

Truck-Mounted Hot Water Extraction Units

Our primary rigs pull hotter water and stronger vacuum recovery than any portable or rental unit can generate. Higher heat breaks down oils, hard-water film, and biological soiling faster; stronger vacuum recovery means less moisture left behind, which means faster drying and less risk of the wicking-back staining people see a few days after a cheap cleaning. For most Medford homes with driveway or reasonable hose-run access, this is what we bring.

Portable Extraction Units

For upper-floor units, condos without truck access, or homes where the hose run would exceed effective range, we switch to a self-contained portable extraction unit. It’s the same hot water extraction principle, just sized for jobs a truck-mount can’t physically reach. We’ll tell you upfront if your job needs this instead — it doesn’t change the price, it changes the tool.

Rotary Agitation Machines

Used during the pre-treatment step to work cleaning solution deep into the pile before extraction, especially on high-traffic lanes and heavily matted areas. This is the step that separates a surface clean from an actual deep clean — skipping it is how corners get cut.

Commercial Dry Vacuums

Before any water touches the carpet, a commercial-grade dry vacuum removes loose dirt and dust. Standard consumer vacuums, even good ones, don’t pull the volume of dry soil these commercial units do in one pass.

Air Movers & Speed-Dry Fans

Set up after cleaning to cut drying time significantly. This matters most in our wetter months (Octoberu2013March) when ambient humidity alone would otherwise stretch drying time well past 12 hours.

pH-Balanced & Rinse Agents Matched to Rogue Valley Water

Standard cleaning solutions are formulated for average municipal water. Ours account for the mineral hardness common to Rogue Valley tap water — an acidic rinse step specifically counteracts the dull, gritty film hard water leaves behind if it isn’t addressed during the actual cleaning.
