The Full 8-Step Process
Every job follows the same eight steps, in the same order, whether it’s one room or a whole house.
Walkthrough & Inspection
We check fiber type, existing wear, and any spots already treated with store-bought cleaner, and flag anything we won’t be able to fully fix.
Pre-Vacuum
A commercial-grade dry pass pulls out loose dirt and dander before any water touches the carpet.
Pre-Treatment
Hard water film, smoke residue, and mud each get a different pre-treatment matched to what the carpet’s actually been through.
Agitation
A groomer works the pre-treatment into the pile, lifting embedded soil where extraction can actually remove it.
Hot Water Extraction
Truck-mounted extraction flushes loosened dirt and residue out of the fiber and pad together — not just the surface.
Spot Treatment
Stubborn spots — wine, pet accidents, coffee — get individually treated after the main extraction pass.
Grooming & Speed Drying
We groom the pile so it dries evenly, then set up air movers to cut drying time to 6–12 hours.

What We Don’t Promise
A good process can’t fix everything, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than oversell the result.
- ✕ Permanent stains — old dye damage, sun fading, or a spill that’s already set into the backing usually won’t come all the way out, and we’ll say so during inspection.
- ✕ Damaged carpet — delaminated backing, worn-through pile, or carpet that’s past its structural life won’t look new no matter how it’s cleaned.
- ✕ Severe contamination — carpet with major water damage, mold, or years of untreated pet contamination may need replacement, not cleaning, and we’ll tell you that instead of charging for a clean that won’t hold.

How long does cleaning take?
A standard 3-bedroom home runs 1.5–2.5 hours start to finish, including the walkthrough and final inspection. Larger homes or heavily soiled carpet can take longer — we’ll give you a realistic window when we quote the job.
How long until the carpet is dry?
Usually 6–12 hours with the air movers we leave running, depending on humidity, airflow, and carpet thickness. We’ll walk you through what to expect before we leave.
Do I need to vacuum before you arrive?
No — we do a full commercial-grade pre-vacuum as step two of our process. Just clear small items and furniture you don’t want us moving, and we’ll handle the rest.
What cleaning method do you use?
Truck-mounted hot water extraction — the method most major carpet manufacturers recommend. We pre-treat and agitate first, then extract, rather than just spraying and vacuuming.
Can you remove pet stains and odor?
In most cases, yes. Fresh to moderate pet stains respond well to our enzyme-based pre-treatment and extraction. Old, deeply set stains may lighten significantly without disappearing completely — we’ll be upfront about what to expect during inspection.
What happens after cleaning?
Keep foot traffic light while it dries, and avoid putting furniture back until fully dry to prevent rust rings or dents. If anything looks off once it’s dry, call us — we’ll come back and take a look, no charge.
